Today, I have a recipe for Thanksgiving Rum Cake that you can try out. This delicious and moist cake is perfect for your Thanksgiving dinner and is sure to impress your guests.
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped pecans
1 package yellow cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup dark rum
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark rum
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the bottom of the pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, 1/2 cup cold water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and 1/2 cup dark rum.
Beat on low speed until blended, then beat on high speed for 2 minutes.
Pour batter over pecans in the pan.
Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
Invert cake onto serving plate.
Prick top of cake with a fork.
Combine 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup water, and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil and continue boiling for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup dark rum.
Drizzle and smooth glaze evenly over top and sides of cake.
Allow cake to absorb glaze and repeat until all glaze is used up.
